Suspect in IUP shots fired incident pleads guilty

INDIANA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Indiana County say the suspect responsible for causing an officer-involved shots fired incident last year at an area university has pleaded guilty in the case. Last October, police arrested Cameron Raubaugh following an investigation into an officer-involved incident in the parking lot of IUP's George P. Miller Stadium. Police say Raubaugh reportedly called 911 and falsely reported a robbery in the parking lot.

Walmart limiting hours; hosting specific shopping time for seniors

JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — Walmart says it's making some changes to its store operation hours to benefit its older customers. Walmart's executive vice president and chief operating officer says from March 24 to April 28, stores will host an hour-long senior shopping event every Tuesday. It's for people ages 60 and older and the Walmart executive says it will take place one hour before the stores open at 7 a.m.

Women found tied up, assaulted in trip-wired Johnstown home, police say

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Police say a Johnstown man has been charged after investigators discovered three women tied up in house that had trip-wires inside. According to a criminal complaint filed by the Johnstown Police Department, Daniel Boyer faces charges related to raping an unconscious victim, involuntary servitude, kidnapping, unlawful restraint and false imprisonment. Investigators say the were called to a Johnstown home in the Prospect section of the city Thursday morning on Ebensburg Road after receiving a 911 call from a distressed woman.

The Biden administration rolled out a new rule aimed at speeding up the process for asylum claims at the border as President Joe Biden is facing pressure to slow down illegal crossings that have become a political headache for his reelection campaign.
