Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Cambria County say no one was injured after a vehicle crashed into the Denny's restaurant in Richland Township. 911 officials say the minor incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Dispatchers say the occupants of the vehicle were not transported with any injuries but the vehicle was towed from the scene. The second annual Senator for a Day event was held at Saint Francis University Thursday morning. Students from 11 high schools in the 35th Senatorial District had the opportunity to get first-hand experience of how the legislative process works. HERSHEY - The Pennsylvania State Police will honor fallen trooper Landon Weaver during a ceremony Tuesday at the State Police Academy. Hundreds of troopers will gather and will be joined by members of the Weaver family to honor his life and the 96 other troopers who gave their life since 1905. During the ceremony, troopers will unveil a new memorial wall that will share the stories of those 97 troopers. Weaver was shot and killed while responding to a call December 30 in Huntingdon County.

Pittsburgh (WPXI) — It was a frightening night for some residents of Pittsburgh Monday as flames could be seen for several miles as first responders battled a large fire on Brunot Island, which is a small piece of land in the Ohio River that houses a power plant. Authorities say a specialized transformer had reportedly failed and caught fire. Firefighters had to take a ferry to the island to extinguish the flames.
