MIFFLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — UPDATE | In a bizarre turn of events, Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) are expected to press charges against the driver of a car that flew into a home's second floor on Sunday. PSP says charges are pending against 20-year-old Evan Miller for intentionally driving his car into a Decatur Twp. home's second floor. Crews that were on scene say Miller first crashed into a culvert, launching his vehicle into the air and into the residence.

Homicide investigation launched after 6 bodies found in Mojave Desert

EL MIRAGE, Calif. (AP) — Deputies found the bodies of six people at a remote dirt crossroads in the Mojave Desert, a scene described as so grisly that Southern California TV stations blurred some of the images captured by their helicopters overhead. San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies responding to a request for a wellness check reached the area off Highway 395 outside the community of El Mirage around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday and found five of the bodies.

Music director of Johnstown Symphony Orchestra wins Grammy Award

JOHNSTOWN, Pa (WJAC) — James Blachly, the musical director for the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, has won the Grammy Award he was nominated for last fall. The nomination was for his recording of Dame Ethel Smyth's "The Prison," an hour-long piece of music from the 1930s. The recording was never performed in the United States until the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra recorded it in 2018. Blachly's recording was nominated under the "Best Solo Vocal Performance: Classical"

President Joe Biden laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Thursday as a part of his first Veterans Day in office as the Commander in Chief. This was just hours after a procession and flyover to celebrate 100 years of the Tomb.
