New 35-bed Family Shelter opens in Altoona

one man dead after motorcycle accident in Bedford County

BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. — A Blair County man is dead after being thrown from his motorcycle in Bedford County Saturday evening around 9:30, state police say. According to a press release, Lowell Musselman, 47, was traveling west on Helsel Road in Kimmel Township when he attempted to negotiate a slight right curve. State police say Musselman's motorcycle began to turn on it's right side as it began to exit the southern edge of the road.

Steelers' TJ Watt named team MVP

PITTSBURGH, Pa (WJAC) — Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker TJ Watt has been named as the team's Most Valuable Player for the 2019 season, according to steelers.com. The accolade was voted upon by his fellow teammates who believe this should not be the only honor that Watt receives by season's end. “He is having an amazing season. Ebensburg coffee shop makes donation to local firefighter training facility, rec authority

CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — First responders in Cambria County are getting support from a local business owner. Kaley Kozian, the owner of the Bohemian Bean in Ebensburg, presented local responders on Tuesday with a check to go towards the Cambria Regional Firefighters Association training facility. She also presented a check to the Cambria County Conservation and Recreation Authority. She says the money comes from 25 percent of her sales, as well as her and her team's tips, that were raised back in April on Arbor Day and the day after.
