Protesters at University of Washington campus vandalize news crew's camera

SEATTLE (KOMO) — A group of more than 200 pro-Palestinian protesters gathered on the University of Washington campus Tuesday night, with demonstrators twice using spray paint to vandalize the lens of a KOMO News camera. Additionally, a KOMO News crew witnessed at least one fight during the demonstration, with at least 10 people involved in the skirmish. No arrests were reported and nobody appeared to be seriously hurt. Throughout the protest, demonstrators held up black umbrellas as a means to block off access to the Quad on UW's campus.

Somerset community mourns loss of hardworking CriLon Corp. employees in crash

Family members of the victims tell us that Jesse Mckenzie, Robert Hampe, and Phil Hinebaugh were killed Wednesday morning in the crash on I-83 in York County. They were all from the Somerset area and worked for CriLon Corp. Family members confirmed that it was Hinebaugh’s first day on the job. Company officials say the loss of the “hardworking young men” will be felt throughout their homes. They say they’re asking community members to help their families in this time of need.

Disney World's newest attraction gets official opening date

ORLANDO, Fla. (WKRC) - The highly anticipated re-themed attraction, formerly Splash Mountain, will open this summer. Disney World's iconic log flume ride, Splash Mountain, closed down on May 30, 2023 to undergo a theme change following controversy surrounding the ride's original inspiration, Song of the South. Disney announced it would be replacing the antiquated animatronics and other visual elements with characters from The Princess and the Frog, the 2009 animated film following Tiana and her amphibious Prince Naveen.

Huntingdon County former coach and wife charged after allegedly locking kids in dog crates

WOOD TOWNSHIP - New details are emerging about a child endangerment case in Huntingdon County. A former assistant coach and his wife are behind bars after police said they locked two of their children in dog cages as punishment. Nicholas Chamberlain coached Tussey Mountain softball for two years. He was the assistant coach, and before that he was a volunteer basketball coach for the school district. After he and his wife Linda Chamerblain were charged on Friday, the school district said he was no longer on the payroll.

Jury in hush money trial finds Donald Trump guilty on 34 counts

NEW YORK (TND) — A New York City jury convicted Donald Trump on all felony counts in his hush money trial Thursday afternoon. A dozen jurors deliberated for hours since they began Wednesday morning. The guilty verdict was returned Thursday after 9 1/2 hours of deliberations. The former president called the trial "rigged" and blamed the Biden administration for Thursday's outcome. He also called Judge Juan M. Merchan "corrupt." "The real verdict is going to be on November 5,"
