UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WJAC) — The summer games for Special Olympics Pennsylvania will happen at Penn State in June. To raise money in the lead-up to the games, they held a run at Beaver Stadium on Sunday. Making this year's run special was a touching tribute to a Penn State football legend: the late football legend Franco Harris.

Huntingdon Co., PA (WJAC) — The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections says an employee at SCI Huntingdon is facing charges after being caught on video engaging in sexual acts with an inmate.
Authorities say 52-year-old Kimberly Danfelt, of Mapleton Depot, is charged with one felony count of institutional sexual assault, according to online court documents.
Officials say Danfelt, who worked as a "garment factory foreman," was under investigation after authorities suspected her and a male inmate of smuggling contraband into the prison.
Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — During Saturday's girls varsity basketball game against Meyersdale, Shade junior Jenna Muha set a new school, single-game scoring record with 48 points.
The previous record of 47 was set by Michelle Chelednik during the 1987-88 season.
Earlier this season, Muha eclipsed the 1,000 point mark for her high school career.
Muha's 48-point game helped the Panthers defeat the Red Raiders on Saturday by a score of 66-43.
SOMERSET COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities say a Somerset County therapist is facing charges following an investigation into allegations that she repeatedly sexually assaulted one of her patients at a local youth home.
According to the affidavit, troopers received multiple Childline reports regarding alleged inappropriate contact and conversations between 30-year-old Kayla Howard, of Berlin, and multiple juveniles at the Somerset County Youth Aid Home.
Police say Howard was reportedly employed at the home as a licensed therapist.
Pittsburgh (WJAC) — According to multiple NFL sources, the Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly signing veteran defensive-back Patrick Peterson to a two-year deal.
Peterson, who is an 8-time Pro Bowler, previously played for the Minnesota Vikings and the Arizona Cardinals.
He was selected in the first round (fifth overall) in the 2011 NFL Draft by the Cardinals.
Peterson has played in 184 career games, over 12 seasons, and has recorded 34 interceptions and 610 total tackles.
