Fort Lauderdale, FL — A Florida man was kicked off a United Airlines flight for his mask, or rather, lack thereof. Adam Jenne wore a pair of women's underwear over his nose and mouth while waiting for take-off, but the carrier had an issue with the thong and made him de-plane. "You're going to have to come off the airplane. We're not going to let you travelyou're not in mask compliance.

Former PA Governor aide accused of sexual harassment prior to resignation

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — A senior adviser to Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro who abruptly resigned this week had been accused earlier this year of sexual harassment by a coworker who said his behavior forced her to quit her job in the governor's office. Mike Vereb, who served as Shapiro's secretary of legislative affairs until his resignation on Wednesday, was accused in the woman's complaint to the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission of subjecting her to lewd, misogynistic and unwanted sexual advances during her brief stint working in the governor's administration.

Johnstown woman publishes new children's book

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — "The Adventures of Hopalot" is a story about a bunny that lost his way in the woods and is trying to make his way back home. He meets a lot of creatures along the way but finds out that not everything is as it seems. Author Kristin Boyers started this series after having a valve replacement. She felt the need to do something that mattered and hopes to inspire kids by sharing her traumatic past and showing them that positivity and healing can grow out of dark places.

Lawmakers to introduce legislation observing K9 Veterans Day in Pennsylvania

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — Two Pennsylvania lawmakers say they are planning to introduce legislation that would designate March 13 as "K9 Veterans Day" in the Commonwealth. Currently, several other states, including New Jersey, Florida, Michigan, and West Virginia, recognize the "holiday." If passed, the legislation would require the Governor to issue an annual proclamation calling upon Pennsylvanians to observe the day with various educational activities and programs. K9s first began training to serve in the armed forces in 1942 and continue to do so today.
