Springdale, PA — Authorities say the death of a five-year-old girl is under investigation in western Pennsylvania.
First responders were dispatched for reports of an unresponsive child in Springdale, Allegheny County, on Tuesday morning.
Police say the child was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
The Allegheny County medical examiner is working to determine the cause of death and a homicide investigation is also underway.
