Indiana 18-year-old charged for threatening Homer-Center School District

Indiana County, PA (WJAC) — State police say an 18-year-old Indiana County man was arrested Thursday after he reportedly made a threat towards the Homer-Center School District. Troopers say Spencer Baker, of Indiana, was charged with one felony count of making terroristic threats after he reportedly sent a Snapchat video to a Homer-Center student that showed him holding a shotgun. Investigators add that the video also reportedly indicated that he was traveling to the school with the weapon.

Chevy announces end of production for iconic car, which first hit assembly lines in 1964

General Motors confirmed Thursday that it will stop making the car introduced in 1964 as the company focuses more on electric vehicles. The midsize sedan was once the top-selling segment in the U.S., a stalwart of family garages nationwide. But its sales started to decline in the early 2000s as the SUV became more prominent and pickup truck sales grew.

Crews respond to fire on SCI-Smithfield grounds

HUNTINGDON - Crews are at the scene of a reported fire on state prison grounds at State Correctional Institution at Smithfield. A Department of Corrections spokesperson said a fire broke out at the power house building in between SCI Smithfield and SCI Huntingdon. The spokesperson said neither prison is in the parameter of the power house. She said that the power house is still operational and is able to supply heat and water to both prisons.
