JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Police say a Johnstown-area teenager is being charged as an adult following a shooting in the Moxham section of the city.
Authorities say on Thursday evening, just before 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Grove Ave. for a reported shooting.
Police say one victim was transported to Conemaugh Hospital for treatment of two gunshot wounds to the calf and knee areas.
According to the affidavit, police say the shooter, identified as 16-year-old Tyjir Graham, was still on scene and surrendered to officers without incident.
Police say Graham reportedly admitted to shooting the victim, who was a friend of his, following an alleged fight between them.
Officers say Graham also admitted to giving the gun to another individual prior to police arriving on scene.
Police say Graham did not tell officers who that person was, nor did he tell officers how he obtained the weapon.
According to online court records, Graham was arraigned Friday on charges of aggravated assault, illegal firearms possession and reckless endangerment.
Police say he is being charged as an adult and is jailed at the Cambria County Prison on $75,000 bail.
