Centre Volunteers in Medicine continues to be a health care success story in Centre County, and they are once again in expansion mode.

Their new fundraising campaign is already off to a multi-million dollar start.

“I am pleased to announce in the silent phase of our campaign, we have raised $6,081,000.”

CVIM’s “building for a healthier future” campaign is officially underway.

In recent months, CVIM has administered more than 43,000 COVID-19 vaccinations, which is more than any other free medical clinic in Pennsylvania.

And it’s at the heart of their mission, providing healthcare for the underserved and uninsured.

The goal now, to renovate their newest facility, located at Sandy Drive in State College.

But CVIM is not just focusing on expansion and renovation, they’re also providing additional community healthcare services.

“Additionally, we are looking to create endowments in each of our service areas for needs as maintaining and improving equipment, and funding modest improvements as needed.”

CVIM operates with doctors, nurses, social workers and others, all volunteering their time.

Along with the thousands of vaccinations, in recent years, well over 1,100 patients served annually at CVIM.

And their $10 million fundraising goal also represents a growing need for services.

“We must rely on the vision and generosity of our Centre County community. This is how we will insure the future of CVIM.”
